About Us
Welbeck Sailing Club (WSC) is a family friendly sailing facility based in the East Midlands, in the heart of North Nottinghamshire. The Club has access to the tranquil waters of the Great Lake on Welbeck Estate, it boasts its own club house with changing and showering facilities. Within the club grounds are our dinghy boat park. WSC is predominantly a sailing club and members enjoy social sailing along with family friendly club racing. Other forms of watersports, such as Wind Surfing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Kayaking are not currently permitted.
The club is run by our members – all are unpaid volunteers. The club has a friendly atmosphere and new members are encouraged to ask if they are uncertain about anything and need help on any aspect of sailing and the club.

Duties are not as onerous as they might seem. They are a great way for you to learn and integrate into the Club and see how racing is organised. Duties cover a range of water-based support functions including: safety boat crew, race clerk (Officer of the Day [OOD] or safety boat helm (with appropriate qualifications). As a friendly, supportive Club please ask if you are unsure about anything. Details about duties can be found here.
